I have the same… vibrations when falling asleep or waking up, in my head, chest and sometimes arms…sometimes mild, sometimes all night. I attribute them to cervical nerve compression or stenosis because they appeared around the same time. But now, as my neck improves and the vibrations persist, I wonder if they are related.

I suffered from falling, having fallen 10 times in one year. I finally took the advice of a friend and went to a trainer. The first thing he did was to take a video of me walking , on his cell phone. Showed it to me and said why are you always looking down? I think that alone is a major problem.

A very well known jockey back in the day, suddenly started falling asleep at the table during a meal and then his wife became very concerned as it began to happen doing other things. He fell asleep once while exercising a racehorse and fell out of the saddle and became fearful it would happen during a race.

We’ve all had falls as kids or come close to falling. It’s a terrible feeling. For an older person a fall can be life changing. As we age the risk of serious injuries or death from a fall increase. More than one in three people ages 65 years or older falls each year. The good news is that you can take steps now to prevent falling.

Just as my body relaxes and I begin to fall asleep, I find myself not breathing. Sometimes I do fall asleep and wake up breathing fast. I then begin relaxing and my breathing slows down; I feel myself wanting to breath, but my body won't until I"wake" myself up enough to breath again.

It was necessary to place concrete in the area of the crushed Vertibrae. Second fall a week later on my face. I looked like I had been beaten up. I passed out the second time. I spent 3 weeks off and on in the hospital. Falling is no joke and if you are aware of the fall because you pass out then the fall is even worse. I do have inner ear issues.

Hi I fell down wood stairs almost 1 year ago, I had a horrible bruise, severe swelling on my right buttock. The swelling went down but the hematoma remained with a small bruise that is a half circle around the bottom of the hematoma. My concern is it’s has stayed this size for months. I’m wondering if this is permanent.

Kelgirl, yours is the first post that sounds in some ways similar to what I experience. I am fine falling asleep but am awakened some time later with wavelike sensations primarily in my upper body, arms and shoulders. I have felt similar physical sensations while awake which come from my fear of heights.
